Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically record information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type, operating system, device type, referring page, the pages you view, the links you click, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to keep the Site working, understand how it is used, and measure and improve our advertising. See “Cookies, analytics, and advertising” below.
Information from other sources
- Advertising platforms. If you reach the Site from an online ad, the platform may pass us a click identifier so we can measure whether the ad led to an inquiry.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The Site uses the following categories of tools. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, time on page, traffic sources, approximate location). Google may set cookies and collect your IP address and device identifiers. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Advertising measurement and remarketing. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags. These allow us to measure inquiries that result from our ads and to show ads to people who have visited the Site. You can adjust your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com and opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
- Security and performance. Our hosting and content-delivery providers may set cookies needed to protect the Site from attacks and to serve pages quickly.
- Embedded content. Some pages embed videos, maps, or fonts from third parties such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Google. Those providers may collect data about your visit as if you had visited their sites directly.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as intended.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business and the Site, including web hosting, email delivery, customer-relationship and lead-management tools, analytics, advertising, and payment or accounting services. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Project partners. Venues, vendors, subcontractors, and other partners when needed to scope or deliver your event. We share only what the work requires.
- Advertising partners. Our use of advertising cookies and pixels may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out as described under “Your choices.”
- Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, insurers, and similar advisors under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Geo Events, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business.
Data retention
We keep inquiry and project information for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver the work, meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations, and resolve disputes. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings we maintain with those providers. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections to the Site and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us to opt out. We may still send transactional messages about an active inquiry or project.
- Cookies and ads. Use your browser settings and the Google and industry opt-out links above to limit analytics and advertising cookies.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will honor requests as required by the law that applies to you.
Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site links to venues, partners, publications, and social platforms we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Visitors outside the United States
We are based in New York and process information in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
